How to use the Portugal postcode map
The directory groups 197,958 postcode-locality records into 69 broad PT prefix zones. Freight planners can use these prefixes to identify collection and delivery regions, compare locations and communicate a general service area.
Select a zone for its reference locality and map position. A prefix is useful for early planning, but the complete postcode and delivery address should always be confirmed before dispatch.

The reference dataset contains numeric postcodes, typically 7 characters before formatting separators. The examples below come from the reference dataset and illustrate searchable codes; they are not a complete official postcode register.
Sources and verification
EuroPostcode uses open postcode-locality records for geographic orientation. Postal codes change and some special, organisation or PO-box codes may not be represented. Confirm a delivery code with the recipient or the relevant postal operator before dispatch.
