EuroPostcode privacy

The public postcode directory and map can be used without creating an account. This notice explains the limited information processed when you use the service or contact us.

Cookies and browser storage

Necessary local browser storage records your privacy choice for up to 180 days and supports core security and functionality. Optional analytics and advertising categories remain disabled until you choose them. Rejecting non-essential technologies does not prevent use of the directory, map or public content.

You can accept all, reject non-essential technologies or select categories separately. The “Privacy & cookie settings” control remains available so you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.

Map and website usage

Technical request data such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and timestamps may be recorded in server logs for security, reliability and abuse prevention. Anonymous or aggregated analytics may be used to understand which pages and features are useful.

API and business enquiries

When you request API access, a data licence or support, EuroPostcode processes the contact and company details you submit in order to respond, prepare a quotation and manage the requested service. Do not submit confidential address lists through the enquiry form.

Retention and sharing

Information is kept only as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, security obligations and applicable record-keeping requirements. It is not sold as a marketing list. Service providers may process limited data where needed to host, secure or operate EuroPostcode.

Google AdSense

With advertising consent, Google AdSense may be loaded on eligible informational pages. Google and participating advertising providers may process identifiers, device information, IP address and page interaction data to deliver, limit and measure advertisements and, where separately permitted, personalise them. Advertising is not loaded on the map, API, pricing, business, data-licensing or privacy pages by our site code. Learn more in Google’s partner-sites privacy information.

Your choices

You may ask about personal information submitted through the service, or request correction or deletion where applicable, through the EuroPostcode contact form.
